A Chinese President visits the UK for the first time in 10 years. Mr Xi Jinping‘s arrival is seen as an opportunity to secure future trade and investment from China, the world’s second largest economy.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Chinese President had hoped to visit Birmingham during his stay but was instead advised by George Osborne to visit Manchester, as part of the Chancellor’s Northern Powerhouse project
